🍎 Techtember - 🥫 #13
September is also known as Techtember. I think it's mainly because of the Apple event 😛. It's also the one-year anniversary of my newsletter, since the first issue in Sept 2021! 🎂🥳🎉🎊
Highlights of the month
👀 Saw Uncle Raymond, a TikTok sensation.
💸 Bought a lot of stickers.
🤑 Sold my Macbook Air (M1) because I got the new M2 now.
💰 Almost got scammed.
🎧 Got my new Airpods Pro 2nd generation.
🥺 Finally 3 meetups in one day (like pre-covid times).

4) There's a Braun font! Looks very Braun-ish.
Braun font — www.iconwerk.com I built it together with my colleague Ludwig Übele and Nina Sagra, prof. Oliver Grabes and Renke Thye of the Braun design studio. It was super exciting and also little scary to re-think the corporate typeface of a company like Braun that has this important design heritage.
5) Someone made a super-useful MRT transfer guide!
Story time
This month marks my 3rd month of ✨funemployment✨. It's quite liberating.
Anyway, here's a pro tip for those using iOS 16 and Airpods (Pro). It's possible to always show AirPod's battery life, both the buds and the case, on the Lock Screen!
Here are the steps:
Customise the Lock Screen.
Go to "Batteries", add the small widget TWICE.
Tap on the widget itself to customise it, disable "Automatic", select the name of AirPods.
Tap on the second widget, disable "Automatic", select "AirPods Case"
Done. Profit!1!!!1!
If the steps above are too difficult to follow, here's a TikTok or a Reel 😉
